Christmas Decorations and Merry Christmas!!

DSC02144

Happy Holidays everyone! I haven’t been on for awhile. My pc went haywire and so I had to try and save some of my files from my desktop (I am bad…don’t back up my files like I should )and I am now on a new laptop, early(unexpected) Christmas present.

I wanted to share some of my Christmas decorations. I have truly enjoyed all of the eye candy that has been posted by all of my blog friends!

I don’t have all of my pictures on this new pc and time is running short. I haven’t had a lot of time to set this one up. I am still working on wrapping and last minute things. Looks like I’ll be working right up to Christmas Eve…

I wish each and everyone of you a joyous Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Holiday Blessings To All!!

Mother Natures Ornaments & Outside Decorations

snowman face border

Well we are finally getting some “S”….I can hardly say the word! I used to be a snow person when I was a child…but now that I am a adult I see work…lol I only love snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day then it can go away until next Christmas! I know many many people love the white stuff I am just not one of them.

I have been working on the outside of the house, this year as most of you are posting it is all about simplicity…less is more :)

I think I am done with the front of the house…please excuse my shabby chic appearance…springtime paint job for sure!

Below is a close up of the front porch

I worked on my Mother Natures ornaments, my pumpkins were still in very good shape so I painted them red, green, bronze and then primmed them with a little Minwax stain. My DH just shakes his head!! :)

I used the small pumpkin ornaments in my window boxes with greens and holly.

I’m not sure if I will do any more to my fence…but this is what it looks like right now. Not at all what it looked like in years past. This is not a good picture, color wise.

I had a helper while I was working outside…he just follows me and roll’s around at my feet. While I was working on the window boxes he curled up in one of my planters.

That's all for now. I’ll have more pictures to post as I finish up inside my nest :)

Have a great evening!

Holiday Blessings!!

Christmas Tree~Oh Christmas Tree

holly leaves[3]

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I enjoyed the yummy food and the relaxing day! It is so hard to believe that it is December 1st. I have started my decorating but I do believe I’ll be tweaking up till Christmas Eve!! Just wanted to show you my tree in the living room….this year less is more, but I am happy with it.

I have to pretty much keep my tree in the same corner, with having Dad in the living room I am limited to what I can do. He really enjoys the tree, he has a good view, the tree is in the opposite corner of his bed.

I just bought the new tree topper, it is hard to see because it blends in with the wall, but I love the snowflakes! This is the first year that I made the dried orange’s and the rag balls…I love the glow of the orange slices.

The lamp on the shelf is a birthday gift from DH, I just love it…(I wish I could hide the cord going down to the plug…have to work on that one)

I love all of the eye candy that I have been seeing on your blogs….such warm and cozy homes!  Great inspiration!!
